Be Humble – A Conversation With John Carlo
Welcome back to Season 3 of American Narratives! Our interview today is with Dr. John Carlo:
For the past 11 years, Dr. Carlo has served as the Chief Executive Officer for Prism Health North Texas, a large nonprofit healthcare organization specializing in care for people who identify as LGBTQIA+. Prior to this, he served as the local public health officer for the Dallas County Health Department. Dr. Carlo has over 20 years of leadership roles for the American Medical Association (AMA), the Texas Medical Association (TMA), and the Dallas County Medical Society (DCMS). He has been a frequent public health subject matter expert, especially during public health emergencies such as COVID, Monkeypox, influenza, and the Ebola crisis in Dallas.
